Takuya is the new goggle head of the group. He doesn't pay attention to what’s going on around him much. Takuya gets a strange message on his cell phone and he ends up running all around town trying to follow what it says. He soon ends up in the Digital World with a couple other kids. On his first day in the Digital World he finds a Digimon Spirit and turns into Agunimon with his Digivice (D-Tector). Takuya is fun to be around unless you’re Zoe, and for the most part he understands how to treat little kids. He acts like a big brother to Tommy. Takuya and Kouji have major differences and end up fighting a lot.

Kouji would have to be the stubborn and mature one of the group. Kouji at first finds the rest of the group annoying and thinks he’s a loner. That soon changes. He soon turns into Lobomon (Wolfmon in the Japanese version) with the Spirit of Light. Later on Kouji finds out that the evil Digimon they were battling, Duskmon, was really a human, his twin brother Kouichi that he didn’t even know existed (they were separated when they were really little when their parents split up. Duskmon never seemed to be able to defeat Kouji so in this case he got lucky. Kouji doesn’t really know how to act when it comes to being a brother or having friends. He soon learns all that by the end.

Zoe is a little immature for her age. She’s a drama queen for sure. She is the forth one to get her spirit. She seems to blush around Takuya a lot yet acts so mean to him (though some would say she did that with Kouji too). She lived in Italy for a while and therefore can speak Italian. She has a hard time making friends. She doesn’t seem to like cute stuff or all the cutesy things other girls do so that does make it hard for her. She is constantly getting hit on by JP. When she has those serious moments she’s really kind hearted.

Dub Name: Tommy Himi
Japanese Name: Tomoki Him
Age: 9
D-Tector Color:Green
Tommy is the youngest of the group. He was really immature for his age at the beginning with all the crying and selfishness. But he seems to mature a lot throughout the series. He is the third Digidestined to get his Spirit. When they were being attack by Candlemon, Tommy finds the Spirit of Ice and Digivolves into Kumamon (Chakkumon in the Japanese version). He seems too look up to Takuya a lot and wants to be just like him. He may be a cry baby bit he's just a kid with good intentions.

Japanese Name: Junpei Shibayama
Age: 12
D-Tector Color:Yellow and Blue
JP is the one who loves chocolate and girls. :P He doesn’t have any friends because he doesn’t know how to get involved—bribing people with chocolate and card tricks doesn’t make friends. He has a lot of chocolate bars in his jump suit. (I personal don’t thing he’s “wide,” I just think it’s all filled with chocolate ^^) JP is the last to get his spirit. He does get saddened by being last but once he gets it he’s happier than a kid in a candy store. With the Spirit of Thunder, JP Digivolves to Beetlemon.

You first see Kouichi as Duskmon, an evil henchman of Cherubimon, but once Kouji and Takuya save him you find out that he’s just a boy, Kouji’s twin brother to be exact. Only they were separated when they were really little and didn’t know they were related till very recently. At first he’s guilty for being Duskmon and doing all these horrible things to his new friends but after everyone’s all nice to him he gets over it. He’s still really shy and quiet and has a hard time expressing himself. At first he Digivolved into Duskmon but got rid of that Spirit to gain his new Spirit of Darkness, Lowëmon.
